Nigel Farage reacts to Runcorn by-election victory
Nigel Farage has seen a major boost in his personal popularity among voters from all parties, new research by YouGov has revealed. The top pollster found that his favourability rating is up “across the board” over the past month, rising by 11 points in just a few short weeks.
Mr Farage’s favourability now stands at 32% among all Britons, giving him the highest ranking of all party leaders. Among Reform UK’s 2024 voters, his support is up by 8 points to a whopping net 76%, while it’s up 10 points among 2024 Tory voters. This means he now has a net positive rating for the first time among those who backed Rishi Sunak.

He’s also up among Labour voters and LibDem voters by 15 points and 11 points respectively.
By contrast Keir Starmer’s net favourability rating has dropped to its lowest level ever, and for the first time his now more unpopular than popular with his 2024 voters.
Sir Keir now has a net popularity of -46, largely fuelled by a 34 point drop among Labour voters.
This is a fall of 12 points since the question was last polled a month ago.
Meanwhile Kemi Badenoch’s popularity has remained stable on last month, though this is tied as her worst score to date.

However this is made up for by a rise in popularity among LibDem and Labour voters, up 5 points and 3 points respectively.
In total the Green Party’s Carla Denyer is the most favourable party leader in Britain, though this is largely driven by a large number of ‘don’t knows’, handing her a net score of -5.
The Green Party also remains the most favourable party overall, with a net score of -1.
Rachel Reeves is the least popular politician in Britain, however, with a net favourability of -48.
