If you’re looking to downsize, the best 15 towns for finding the ideal property and a slower pace of life have been named. In a new list by The Telegraph, the most popular hotspots for people to downsize homes have been revealed. In the South West, the top hotspots include Kingskerswell in Devon, Brixington in Exmouth.

In the South East, the top hotspot is Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex. Shoreham-by-Sea is a quiet area which is just a short distance from Brighton. It’s a stunning area to enjoy the coast without being a hotspot for day trippers.

In the east of England, the best place to downsize is Rayleigh in Essex.

Rayleigh is known as being an ideal location for downsizers who want a more quiet life away from the hustle and bustle of large shopping centres and busy high streets.

In the West Midlands, Leek in Staffordshire and Summerhill in Kidderminster, Worcestershire are named as two of the best spots.

Towards the East Midlands, Oadby in Leicestershire and North Beeston in Nottingham are listed as the best places.

Beeston is a homely suburb of Nottingham which is known for its community feel and excellent transport links.

In Yorkshire and the Humber, Clementhorpe in York is the ideal location to downsize.

Clementhorpe offers a peaceful life yet still has a mix of independent shops, cafes and restaurants for locals to enjoy.

Towards the North East, West Monkseaton in Tyne and Wear is a great place to enjoy a quieter life.

In the North West, Poulton-Le-Fylde in Normoss, Lancashire takes a place on the list.

As for Wales, Llandrillo-Yn-Rhos in Conwy takes the top spot.
