Writing for the Express, Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp pledges that the Tories will reverse the Prime Minister’s EU ‘sell-out’ at the very first opportunity

The surrender summit lived up to its name. It was a festival of forfeiting Britain’s national interest. A cop-out conference that sells Britain down the river. Like his plans to pay Mauritius to use our own territory in Chagos, Sir Keir Starmer once again sold the family silver – and taxpayers are left paying the price. It was a day of national shame.
Keir Starmer finally confessed that he plans a youth mobility scheme with the EU – after months of denials. With 60million people up to the age of 30 who could be covered by this scheme, it is a return to free movement by the back door. There was no mention of any cap in the announcement.

Keir Starmer’s Brexit ‘reset’ plan dealt massive blow in new fishing row

Waves of unlimited, low-wage, low-skill migration from the poorer parts of the European Union is the last thing our country needs. We don’t even know whether people would be able to bring dependents.
But the Prime Minister just doesn’t get it.
He talks tough on immigration when the cameras are on him, but as soon as he gets behind closed doors, he blows open Britain’s borders at the first chance he gets.
Keir Starmer is the same man who thinks cutting migration is “economic vandalism” and thinks all immigration controls are racist. And it wasn’t long ago his Home Secretary was posing with her “all refugees welcome” sign.

“Great article. Starmer has his own agenda and does not care if it is the best for this country nor the British people!”

And it’s not just borders. He sold out our fishing industry for 12 years – an incredible length of time. French and other fishermen will be fishing our waters till they are empty, while our trawlers have to sit by and watch.
It gets worse. On food standards and energy, Starmer has signed us up to EU rules. Not just current rules, but future ones too. And guess who settles disputes? The European Court of Justice. We will become rule-takers once again with no say over what those rules actually are.
Every day it becomes clearer that Starmer is the world’s worst negotiator, and foreign nations are reaping the rewards. Just as Starmer wanted when he campaigned for a second referendum, we are once again back in the EU’s orbit.
We had a vision for Britain where we could do what is best for our country. But Keir Starmer doesn’t see it, blinded by his desire to rejoin. He is a mediocre middle manager, and his only vision for us is one of slow decline.
We are clear, this not a good deal for Britain, and we will reverse it the very first chance we get.
