All the Eurovision countries who gave UK nul points after second humiliating blow.H

UK’s Eurovision 2025 act Remember Monday received the dreaded nul points in the public vote for the second year in a row.

The 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest concluded in a spectacular Grand Final in Basel, Switzerland, with Austria emerging as the victors. This year, the UK was represented by pop group Remember Monday, who performed their song, What The Hell Just Happened?, on Swiss soil. Comprising Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele, the trio delighted the audience with their song, which draws inspiration from their friendship and upbringing in Hampshire.

They were the eighth act to take the stage during Saturday’s grand event, ultimately securing a total of 88 points and finishing in 19th place. However, they faced disappointment as they received zero points in the public vote for the second consecutive year. The UK is part of the Big 5, which also includes France, Germany, Italy and Spain, reports Liverpool Echo. This year’s contest saw 37 countries participate, with 26 making it to the grand final. This included the Big 5, last year’s winner Switzerland, and the 20 semi-final qualifiers.

The UK has been a constant presence in every Eurovision Grand Final since 1959 and has clinched the title five times. The winner is decided based on a combination of points from national juries and viewer votes in the participating 26 countries, supplemented by a separate global poll.

Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor stepped in to announce the UK’s national jury votes after Doctor Who actor Ncuti Gatwa was forced to withdraw as the British Eurovision spokesperson due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

The final was broadcast live on BBC One at 8pm on Saturday, with Graham Norton providing TV coverage. Listeners could also tune in to BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds for live coverage presented by Rylan Clark and Scott Mills.
